In response, Weiler laughed too, but it lasted only a few seconds before he tilted up and stole another kiss, taking in that laughter for himself like he was hoarding it, precious as it was. When they parted, still lingering close enough so that their mouths still touched when he spoke, Weiler brushed Locke's bangs out of his eyes and admitted, "I have to say, though, it wasn't a bad trade."

He finally unwound one arm from Locke's back and pushed up, looking down with amusement as he cracked his knuckles. "Now if you roll back over, your highness, I'll make good on the second half of my promise and then we can go make good on the first."
