As not to arouse too much attention, Vico waited about five minutes (three hundred seconds, to the dot) before following after Adamo, throwing apologetic looks at the two or three attendees he had to disrupt in order to stumble into the aisle. There was little surveillance guarding the doors - they stepped aside without even a second glance when he flashed his fake identity badge.

The lobby they had been in before being filtered to their seats was now empty. There were a few employees shuffling about the tables, stacking used cups and corking unfinished champagne, no doubt to indulge in themselves later. A few looked up as Vico entered but just as soon went back to what they were doing.

Slipping behind a pillar, Vico looked about for Adamo.
