[What a rough week.
Not that any week in Infinity is rough, given the lack of work, but sometimes those events take a lot out of a guy. Like those zombies, or swapping bodies, or countless other things that shouldn't be possible. It's not unusual for Dojima to hit up the bar, anyway - even if he is alone. There's nothing like a cool, soothing beer in the summer, too. Dojima finds himself easing already, bottle in hand, simply sitting at the bar and watching soccer. He was never much for sports (maybe a bit of baseball), but it's more entertaining to watch than he thought, especially with all the others in the place getting into it themselves. Not a bad atmosphere at all. He's still more subdued, though, what with being by himself. Oh well, still fun to watch.]

You like this kinda stuff? I always thought you were pretty weak to alcohol.

Y'know Adachi. Always a sucker for free stuff.
[Well, that much is true. Dojima can't count on two hands how often Adachi has dragged him along to get sea urchin. Anyway, Dojima is still pretty iffy about this drink. He turns it around in his fingers, suspicious. Not that Adachi could've laced it or anything, but it's certainly odd for him to order something like this, especially when two of them are probably approaching their limit.]
Anything this hard will make anything interesting, Adachi.
[Dojima must be tipsy enough to disregard it though, considering he downs it anyway.]

To tell you the truth, I haven't had enough to know if I like it or not. Like I said, couldn't really afford it on my pay.
[He takes a sip, face twisting.]
Euch. This one's sweet! Yours any better?
[Keep talking, he thinks. The more he talks, the less time they have to think about refusing.]

But it’s not bad. Not too cheap tasting, at least.

Just vodka. Not bad, but a little strong.
no subject
Well, can't waste it if it's expensive.
[(It's an Asian thing.) He lets out a small burp and reaches for the next one, already pulling at his collar to fake the heated flush that comes with drinking, puffing up his cheeks and blowing out air.]
Kind of stuffy in here...what's this one?
no subject
Sure you're ok drinking all that?
no subject
Dun' worry. He can take it. Gotta catch up with us, huh?

I don't know sir...this stuff is a little...
[Yawwwn.]

Quit messin' with him. He doe'nt know better.
[He says it low enough to where the other him doesn't hear, plopping his forehead down against the back of his palm, on Adachi's shoulder, still chuckling. Looks like he hit his limit.]

Looks like we're all pretty knackered, huh? Better get you guys home before Nanako-chan starts to worry again.
[Because that's the trump card, the be-all, end-all as far as Dojima is concerned. There are no wiser words. Adachi even manages a bit of a slur of his own, stressing the 'worry', leaning back against the other Dojima's weight.]
C'mon. I can drop you off, sir. It's on the way - least I could do for the drinks.
[It's close enough to conversation in similar circumstances back in Inaba that maybe if he's lucky, this Dojima won't even notice the difference and just go along with it (or so he hopes).]

Haven’t seen her in awhile. How’s she doing?

[He's not quite out, but his eyes are closed, and he's quickly starting to become dead weight. There's always something comfortable about Adachi, too, when he gets like this - even if Adachi's intentions with the drunk man are never good. (Well, it's not like he actually minds, with the relationship they're in and all.)]
Think she's happier. No work n' all. More time with her.
no subject
[That dead weight begins to slide off his shoulder, because let's face it, there isn't a lot of real estate there to begin with. Adachi has to lean back on his seat and nearly wrap both arms around him to keep him from sliding off. He throws a helpless look at the other Dojima, pleading.]
Sir, we've really got to get going. Can you help me carry ...uh, yourself back to the car? He's kind of heavy.
[A pause. Adachi looks up in slight alarm.]
N-not that I'm calling you chubby or anything, sir! I mean, even if you're racking up on the years you haven't got that old man beer belly yet! Tip-top condition, really!

[Dojima laughs, his head lolling onto his double's shoulder now. Maybe the other Dojima hadn't noticed, or maybe he had, but now it would seem abundantly obvious - this Dojima is a lot more lighthearted than him. (Might be too drunk to notice by now.)]

Adachi shakes his head as if to clear it, smiling back in good humor (but he's always been better about that than Dojima).]
Yes sir, no sugar, roger.
[Whispering to the other Dojima over the fallen one's head (not that he needs to, since it's audible anyway).]
Thanks, Dojima-san. You're a real lifesaver.
[If the alcohol won't do him in, then the combination of the alcohol and the lull of the car ride (especially if he takes a few more turns around the block) definitely will, even if it's in as flashy a car as the one pulled up in front of the bar. The vehicle has to be another one of those things that Adachi Can't Usually Afford On His Salary, but thankfully, it's not one of the luxury models at least (the roar of a Ferrari's engine isn't going to do any lulling to sleep). Fishing in his pockets, Adachi digs out a key and presses a button to unlock it.]
Oof! This guy goes in the back seat.

Y'better not floor it.
[Conscious enough to know how Adachi is with driving, apparently.]

If there ain't any work, then there's nothing you can get on my case about, right?
[He stands back up, but not without bumping the back of his head into the car door frame, eliciting a customary wince and a scrunch of his shoulders. Typical Adachi. He circles around and gets into the driver's seat with a sheepish grin.]
Or something like that.
