A lot of drunk threads, lately...

[Sunday morning comes quietly, for once (but not too surprisingly for such a small country town). Last night, on the other hand, was loud, because Dojima tended to loosen his lips when he had alcohol in his system, and the lack of coordination didn't do any good for their stumbling over the Dojima residence front stair, either. By the time everyone had been settled, Adachi had been too tired to even lift a finger, all but crashing onto the living room couch and passing out. In fact, you could find him in similar position come dawn - sprawled out with one arm thrown over the back of the chair and the other suspended like a bridge between seat and coffee table, mouth open and, for all extensive purposes, dead to the world.]

...mmmno don't want...mmn n'more coffee sir...

[Following after, Adachi opens the fridge without asking, inspecting the sorry state of the empty shelves, and poking around those plastic containers of questionable content (there were probably civilizations living in there, by now.]

Well, if you've got any vegetables, I can stir fry that.

[Adachi opens said drawer and instantly recoils. Is that...thing moving...?]

Uh...sir. D-Dojima-san. Maybe you should come take a look at this.

[Adachi backs up into him, eyes fixed on the mass in the fridge.]

Umm, I was sort of hoping you could tell me.

[After a moment of silent horror, it squelches. Squelches. And loudly. Adachi shuts the drawer almost violently with his foot (he could've sworn he heard the thing howl when he did), and looks back up at Dojima like nothing happened.]

[His mood seems sunnier than a clear day on a beach. Is a free meal that important? By the time Dojima is done, in fact, the two mugs are even rinsed and sitting upside-down by the sink to dry. Adachi is sitting on the living room couch again, looking out the window (out and up, at rooftops and television antennae he can't see.)]

[Adachi jerks at the sound of the voice, whipping around like he was caught red-handed. That might be odd, too, but like Dojima said, there was a lot that was odd about him. He stands up, shrugging.]

Nah. All the weekend morning programs are kiddie cartoons. I...usually only watch TV at night.

Think about it. Weather always acts up right before the disappearances. Got no idea why. Could be a coincidence. My guess is that the guy's using it as some kinda a trademark.

Oh, wow, you have a point there. Maybe it's part of the serial killer's M.O.! But...it seems like a pretty irregular trigger...aren't they usually more regular with that sort of thing?
