Main Theme (Will be added to and changed as things are more thoroughly discussed).
Over 1000 years have passed since the solar system's first integration attempt. As many of the originally colonized planets become increasingly unlivable, new technologies have allowed for sentient beings to develop life elsewhere. Natural resources are scarce, and while technology makes up for much of what was lost, organic materials are in high demand. Lack of information control and the introduction of global currencies has given rise to organized crime. This story in particular focuses on one such group that controls a large part of the middle-western solar system.

Ice-water satellite (moon). Probably a moon to a very big planet, farther out in the solar system. The surface is ice, and the inside is water, caused by heating from its core. Perhaps technology has allowed for humans (among other undecided races) to get under the ice and explore the waters - where we may very well have several species living. There could also be an underwater colony for the humans to live and study the satellite. Access is most likely limited, however.

Add on, guys! Races you may find, a name for the place, any other details you can think of.

Asche. (ah▪sheh) A relatively small town on Erclesse that runs on steam power. Supposedly had one of the top hospitals in its area, but it has since shut down. (Their new one isn't so bad, though.) The townspeople are generally friendly, if a bit old-fashioned. The buildings of the housing district all tend to look similar, and the business district probably only differs a little with its shorter buildings, orange lights and awnings. Vapor is constantly wisping around the town, and tends to bottle up warmth; in winter, it's less cold than it should be.

Armistant (consolidated)

Armistant / The Electric City. A hub of operation for the Organization, and a technologically advanced city, not unlike some of the major cities today (Tokyo, New York). It is filled with skyscrapers, and it is much taller than it is wide. Rather than the usual city format of a dense center surrounded by looser suburbia, the city is organized by layers.

Half of the city is built on a platform suspended above the ground, and is subject to natural light. The other half rests below the platform, and is only lit artificially, whether by timed electrical lighting or some other simulated means. The lower half is more of the 'slums' district.

Fourth Circle

The Fourth Circle is located a good distance away from the headquarters (the First Circle), closer to the center of the planetary system. It specializes in information gathering and selling, and has a reputation for being very slow with personal requests until you follow up with them, considering the volume of information they handle on a day-to-day basis.

The leader of this division is unspecified, but I would recommend a member of a separate race that is known for SUPER SMARTS or something. (Live long and prosper, folks.)

Erclesse (consolidated)

Erclesse / The Dock City. Though the mafia operates with a large-scale free-reign ship as their headquarters, Erclesse stands as one of their major 'docks' for the ship and its members to dock. It is used as a major 'gateway' for mafia members to gain access to the rest of the planetary system, and also serves as the bottleneck for transportation back to the headquarters ship.

Astaron

Astaron / The Aquatic Planet. The surface of this planet is covered by water. Astaron holds one of the major races of the story - a humanoid fish race (Quelorie is a member). The members of this race have no hair, their skin is a pale blue, and they require to be constantly hydrated (at least five hours in water a day). Their voices, when speaking, resemble a mix between talking and gurgling as a result of their distinct respiratory system. They have harder shell-like crests on the top of their head, and extensions from the back that are almost coral-like in nature (their version of hair, I suppose).

Gladsheim

Gladsheim / The Debtor Planet. Originally one of the collaborators with the mafia, Gladsheim has long since fallen into debt for buying large amounts of weapons to back up their constant state of civil dispute. In a semi-mutiny, the military of Gladsheim has taken matters into their own hands and formed a rebellion group against the mafia, outright attacking the First Circle and stealing shipments of weapons with no intention to pay or take responsibility. They are the main antagonist group as of this moment.

Asche Hospital Incident: Bentley and Joel's TRAGIC PAST

Joel Foster’s first mission as Special Ops Commander was at planet Erclesse’s city Asche, to ‘ask’ (force) cooperation of the doctors with their mission: to create superhuman weapons. Asche Hospital was ideal – aside from being the biggest in its area with the best doctors, it had the best reputed prosthetics maker, Bentley A. Foster; his brother and a genius at twenty-three with his creations. He had utilized the best of myoelectric technology, making the most advanced prosthetics Erclesse had seen. People said it was no different than having an arm of flesh. He was a key person they needed for their mission.

Three years after Bentley began work at Asche Hospital (age 26), the Gladsheim military slowly began to have a silent hold on the facility. The doctors readily gave their cooperation through the military’s subtle threats. For three more years, they quietly obeyed the orders of Commander Foster. It simply grew into something they got used to; an authority they dared not to oppose. (Horror stories had spread about the ones who did – having their limbs chopped off, being used for the military experiments themselves, their families taken hostage… Or worse.)

Unable to stand his brother’s tyranny any longer, Bentley rebelled. He was tired of being used to make ‘super human’ parts for the military’s wars. The other doctors knew just as well as he did that they were creating weapons not intended to protect. A courageous young man at the time, he gathered other doctors for his cause, convincing them that they could no longer put up with the unethical treatment of their patients, and the abuse of their skills. But when word got out of Bentley’s rebellion, Joel didn’t hesitate for a moment to punish those involved. Feeling he had no choice now but to force his brother’s cooperation, the commander used aggressive means. He put a stipulation to the rebelling doctors’ consequences: he wouldn’t punish them if they turned on Bentley. If the doctors cut off his arm, thereby forcing Bentley to make himself one, he would let them off the hook. The answer was obvious, wasn’t it? Either sacrifice the safety of their families, or just take one doctor’s arm, which could be so easily replaced – the choice was easy.

Age 29, Bentley was changed. Not just in the empty space now from his elbow down, or the low blood pressure now coursing his veins, but the betrayal of the people he thought had the bravery to do what was right. The people he once considered his friends. A lone man, with no family at home to question his whereabouts, it was easy to force his stay at the hospital. He was a troublemaker, after all. Commander Joel ordered him to be under strict supervision, lest he rouse more havoc. It was easy to say that nearly a year in the confines of the hospital drove him a little mad – a little quirky. But at 30, Bentley made his escape. It only took him a few months to make a prosthetic for himself, but oh, was it fine-tuned to suit him. His best creation yet – his masterpiece. He spent the latter part of the year making the prosthetics as the military wished, all the while adding details to his own to make his getaway. It was a day with Commander Joel Foster himself was to keep watch over his dear little brother. (He wasn’t always at the hospital, being a busy commander – there were other missions that required his attention.) The year had instilled a fear of the military in Bentley, but that day, he made his move. Bentley attacked his brother, very easily overpowering Joel with the metal arm – more than intended. It horrified Bentley, that the unrefined metal could cut through the thin skin of a human’s neck with so much ease, but there was no time for it. He dashed through back rooms, halls, past the militant security, and to his freedom.

The hospital closed shortly after Bentley’s retreat, the military’s commander being in a critical state. All evidence of their operation was quickly eradicated. Bentley wasn’t safe, he knew, and nor was Asche – without their hospital, the city was bound to face a crisis. As much as it enraged him, he had to leave. He couldn’t do anything for them now. It was barely a week of hiding in plain sight before he found himself kidnapped – by the mafia, no less. Two annoying little henchmen (or angels, one might argue) that swooped him away.
