EVENT PART 2

IDENTITY CRISIS

Uh oh. Everyone seems to have forgotten themselves. Literally. People are starting to think they're someone else; even people they don't even know. (AKA: not limited to the character's fandom k) They suddenly develop habits they've never had, unfamiliar urges, strange phrases - the whole shebang. Confuse your fandom mates, or even strangers. They may even be them - or you.

Feel free to work with this however you want. Trigger it, slowly work into their 'new personality', or maybe they just woke up that way. As for how they snap out of it... that's up to you. Or if they do. Have fun with it!

[A nod, and he covers the man's mouth with a hand before he can blurt anything else out.]

Just follow me.

[He motions further down the alley, taking a step in that direction, his guard up.]

[Adachi looks to the side, flushing darkly.]

There's nothing there! Why are you leading me into an all-

W-w-wait!

[If it were possible, he turns even darker, shaking his head and waving his fists (not hands) in front of him.]

No way! Nuh-uh! You got it all wrong! I'm not that kinda guy!

[Dojima just stares at him for a good moment.]

You're making this assignment much more of a hassle than it needs to be. What are you, a high schooler?

[Rather than going and forcing him along, he kicks a nearby wall - which reveals it not to be a wall at all, but a vent big enough to kneel in, the screen thunking to the ground.]

We're wasting time.

[A silent stare from vent to Dojima.]

You've got another thing coming if you think you're going to push me in there, pal.

[A pause, and Dojima reaches into his vest, pointing what looks like a gun at him. (No worries, it's actually a tranquilizer.)]

Then I'll drag you in. Which one will it be?

[He presses back against the wall, sucking in his gut.]

Hold up! That's...watch where you're pointing that thing!

[How could Dojima do this to him? Turn around a...tranquilizer gun at him? This was ridiculous, but Adachi nonetheless inches towards the vent. (Was Dojima even going to fit in that small hole?)]

[As soon as Adachi is in front of the vent, Dojima gives a hearty laugh, patting him on the back before outright shoving him inside.]

I'm just messing with you. I'm supposed to get you there unharmed. Not to mention this thing is just full of tranquilizer darts.

[Well, that shoving isn't going to work without some scrapes and bruises here, from lanky elbows and wayward limbs. Adachi stumbles in, wincing.]

I thought you just said, 'unharmed!' Quit pushing!

[Maybe the shock of having a gun pointed at him by Dojima was enough to shock the teenage rebellious out of him? That whine sure sounds Adachi-esque enough.]

Sheesh, really, what's gotten into you?

Let me rephrase that - 'in one piece.'

[Dojima gives a wince as he crawls in behind Adachi, pausing before he pulls the vent cover back up. Those more Adachi-like moments seem to be triggering more Dojima-like reactions.]

Same thing that's gotten into you, I think. Keep going.

[His eyes widen, and he leans forward.]

If you know what's wrong, fix it! Then we can get out of this dusty hole.

What do you think this mission is all about, huh?

[But, wait a second - he's been noticing a pattern here. Though the Snake side doesn't like it much, well... the Dojima part of him seems to be strong enough to try it.

He leans in, pressing their mouths together. If it's Adachi, there probably won't be much protest - Tatsumi... well, he'll expect a punch in the face. ~~Tranquilizer gun is at the ready.~~ And if Adachi is indeed back, then Dojima should revert to himself as well. Simple. Right?]

[Well. If this was the mission, Adachi's not entirely sure why he was protesting. Though he pushes back, he's quick to draw away, eying Dojima suspiciously. That's not going to be good enough if it's just a plan to catch him off guard so Dojima could push him further into this vent.]

[Dojima blinks at the other man when he pulls away, and then his shoulders ease.]

Hey, it worked.

[He gives a small smile of relief when the 'Snake' part of him slithers away (get it), taking a moment to look at their surroundings when he feels the pressing presence vanish completely. Uh...]

What are we doing in a vent? And what am I... wearing?

[That's not enough to convince Adachi. Narrowing his eyes, he reaches out, pinching the man's cheeks and pulling every which way, as if just waiting for the transformation to take place again, and for the un-Dojima-like Dojima to smack his hands away, point that tranquilizer at him, and shove him into a cardboard box.]

I'm not falling for that again-

Ow, ow hey-

[But nope, there's no tranq guns or cardboard boxes. Dojima just swats his hands away, rubbing a cheek before thumping the bottom of his fist on top of Adachi's messy hair.]

What was that for?!

[There's a small flinch at that, more reflexive than any actual indication of pain, before a look of relief spreads over Adachi's face, and he surges forward, toppling them over despite the small space in the vent. They half-fall out of it, in fact.]

Man, am I glad you're not some box hobo anymore!

Oof-!

[Y'know, something about it isn't so bad - maybe Dojima just realizes that it would've been a lot different with that Tatsumi attitude. The "don't touch me" and "I'm not like that"s... (No way, is Dojima appreciating the affection?)

Even though his head greets the ground with an unkind thunk, his arms still settle around Adachi's waist, grinning just slightly.]

Hey, Snake's not a box h-

...Actually, I don't know who he was.

[Pushing up, Adachi raises a brow at Dojima.]

And 'Otaku'?

[Otacon?]

You mean Otacon?

[A look of concentration crosses Dojima's face, trying to remember.]

I don't remember either.

[Easing up, Adachi smirks (not really a Kanji-like expression at all, no), and proceeds to climb over Dojima and out of the vent. He brushes himself off as he gets to his feet, staring down at the other man over his shoulder.]

But you remembered his pale, white skin?

Something tells me you were half-right about that 'otaku' bit. That's all I know.

[Dojima pushes himself up, standing to dust off his clothes, as well as the clothes that aren't his. Where'd these even come from?]

You haven't seen my shirt, have you?

It's somewhere ba-

[About to jab his thumb in said direction, Adachi thinks better of it, putting it down. He didn't mind Dojima looking quite like that.]

...Nope, not the faintest idea.

[You can bet he's not falling for it that easily.]

It's where?

Beats me. Guess you'll just have to come home like that.

Tch, there's no way I'm- I know you know, Adachi.
