Bah RUMPAH Pum Pum

It's the end of the year, and Fagsona's throwing a grand, gay ol' holiday party! And boy, are they overdoing it. There's mistletoe everywhere, the spontaneous urge to break into carols, spiked eggnog, presents for everyone under a huge tree, and even someone in the corner over there dressed up like Santa, ready (even if unwilling) for anyone to come sit on their lap and spill out their deepest heart's desires! (Poor bugger, whoever that muse is.)

And believe me, with all that decoration and alcohol, you're definitely gonna spill.

[Adachi doesn't leave his seat, but he does turn his nose up the other way.]

Stingy. Hope you're not expecting some grand affair under the tree for you now, pal.

Y'just ashked for...

[Wait, he's counting. (Hic.)]

Six things. 'Sides, I think you're on th' naughty lisht.

[Well, now he's just indignant too.]

What?! Why am I- no way! Let me see that list! I was definitely a damn angel this year! You're cheating!

I don't have an actual lisht.

[Fidgeting under Adachi's weight, his head only ends up lulling onto one of his shoulders. Man, whatever he was drinking was certainly catching up.]

What'dya mean 'Christmas Eve', anyway?

[Glaring down at Dojima's head, Adachi looks away with a slight frown, mumbling something under his breath like, 'Don't think you can get away with that just by acting cute,' or at the very least, something similar. His expression must have darkened by then, because he spotted a timid-looking kid approaching, only to watch him meet his eyes, squeak with fright at what he saw, and run away, yelling about the scary reindeer monster attacking Santa to his preoccupied mother.]

Usually, people mean the day before Christmas.

[Aw, but look at this cute, vulnerable face. (Just ignore that white, flowing beard.)]

Why d'ya need two of 'em?

[Total misinterpretation? Check.]

[As if Dojima's needed to get more oblivious.]

I wanted yours.

[A pause, then Dojima rolls his head up so that his chin in on Adachi's shoulder.]

Y'can have it.

[Simple enough. Might have to remind him later, though.]

[Adachi grins in response, but there isn't much surprise about it. Maybe he had already assumed the answer, thinking too much of himself, and perhaps the vocal request had only been protocol. Adachi steadies a hand on Dojima's wrist to keep the eggnog from tipping a little too much to one side (the costume may not be his, but he doesn't fancy walking around in wet fur all day), and briefly presses his mouth to the other man's hairline.]

And since I'm such a good kid this year, I'll even give you mine.

Yeah?

[Hic.]

Thanks. M'glad.

[Dojima smiles, and although it's a little... drunken, it looks meaningful nonetheless.]

[Past Santa's shoulder, he spots a small group of children warily looking on, obviously waiting for their turn to sit on Santa's knee and request just about everything on their wishlist (those little brats). Adachi can't help it - nice or naughty, he still shoots them a narrowed-eye glare until they start and scatter. They could have their turn when he was done.]

Well, that's only one of six, but I can settle with that for now. You'll just owe me one...or five in the future, Santa. You know, when the holiday rush ain't as bad.

[Santajima still offers a wave to the panicking kids. (He might be distantly surprised that they aren't traumatized by one of Santa's deer sitting in his lap and kissing his forehead then glaring them off.) He glances back up, and pinches Adachi's nose.]

Greedy punk... but we'll see, huh?

[If the glare didn't scare them all off, though, Adachi seems to want to add insult to injury. Like a typical grinch, he's obviously determined to keep Christmas all to himself (not that a drunk Santa was really going to help anyone anyway, and really, he was just helping Dojima from scaring off a few kids himself). Suddenly standing, making Dojima's hand drop from his face while simultaneously hooking his arms under the other man's and hauling them up, Adachi announces:]

Santa's not feeling well. I gotta take him back to the north pole for some...maintenance, or he won't make it for Christmas.

[The kids just stare. It doesn't help that Adachi's grinning face doesn't look trustworthy at all, and Santa looks like he's boneless enough to slide out of his hold any second now. In fact, they look kind of scandalized as they watch him haul Santa Claus off, feeling distinctly like helpless witnesses to a serious crime.

Well, whatever, Adachi thinks. At least I didn't tell them that Santa wasn't real.]
