A wild EVENT has appeared!

LOST: The Fagsona Episode

That's right, folks. You're stranded on a small tropical island (making run-ins more likely), with the remnants of a plane lying on the beach. Your task: Survive. Maybe you'll find other stranded passengers on the shore. Maybe those huge ass coconut crabs remind you of a puzzle, professah. Maybe you'll even fine some sort of time-warping tunnel that'll teleport you right onto the S. S. Enterprise in the jungle - who knows?

[Ow. Sheesh, you play dirty, officer. Phoenix was never the malicious type, however, but he knows when to defend himself. He pulls out that grape juice bottle (wait, he still had that?), and gives a hefty swing right at the back of the caveman's head. Of course, it takes a while to get that opening, when two guys are busy trying to take you down. (In the process, his beanie falls off again, his eye gets elbowed, and his stomach kicked. Not exactly pleasant.)]

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Eventually, realizing they're outmatched, the cavemen disperse, from whatever hole they crawled out of (too small for Adachi or Phoenix to fit through), leaving the two men bruised and quite beaten, despite having escaped the dinosaur. Adachi struggles to catch his breath on his back, though that's not the only reason he's not moving - he's winded. Someone gave him a sharp punch in the stomach, and moving is really not looking like an attractive option at all.

Head falling onto the cave floor, Adachi wraps his arms around his middle, eyes darting around in case the cavemen launch another ambush.]

...Jerk.

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think they understand our language. Where did my beanie go...

[Phoenix is a bit winded, looking between the congregation of cavemen and the exit. Maybe they should find a new cave, but that's pretty risky.]

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Come to think of it, one of those cavemen did have a pretty turquoise-looking head when he bounded off... Adachi keeps quiet, smirking inwardly.]

I was talking to you.

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
[With this beanie off his head, that strange shaped eyebrow is rather visible, raising at the accusation.]

Phoenix Wright.

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
[In the process of rolling over.]

Huh?

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
My name. You got it wrong.

[Ope, there's his beanie. Dusting it off, he places it back on his head rather delicately.]

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty sure the one I gave you fits better.

[With a grunt, Adachi rolls back onto his knees. At least both threats are gone now. He slowly makes his way out of the cave.]

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Phoenix just disregards the comment, following behind. The coast seems clear - surprisingly, what with all the noise they just made.]

...Huh.

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
[The extent of the damage from the fight becomes obvious as they step into the light. Adachi's hair looks like someone shoved it all to one side , with half of it sticking straight up. His clothes are pulled every which way, and there are scratches running down the side of his jaw. He rubs them as he winces, pulling the waistline of his pants back up. Those cavemen had been vicious.]

I really need to get home. I've had enough of the prehistoric era to last me a lifetime.

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. I think I prefer the Borscht Bowl Club myself...

[Scratching his head, Phoenix picks up his bottle that had somehow rolled outside the cave. (Maybe it was waiting for him.) It sounded like this situation called for investigating - like the good ol' days. He starts heading back to where they started.]

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Wai- Hey, wait! Where are you going?

[Adachi nearly trips over his own undone shoelace.]

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Back to that beach. Might find a clue.

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Adachi narrows his eyes at the back of Phoenix's head. What was the big idea, taking all the detective lines from Adachi? He catches up with one or two stumbles, stoically coming along. Phoenix, with his flee-or-flight tendencies, didn't make a very good ally, but at the very least, if another dinosaur came around, chances were it'd go for the meatier man.]

It's not like you're going to find the remnants of a plane, or anything. Getting thrown in leaves no traces, you know, that's why it's such a handy getaway.

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't have to be a big clue.

[Not that Adachi would know he has to experience to say such a thing. Phoenix just shrugs, stopping every so often to check the area for company of the dino persuasion. When all seems clear, he keeps going. The beach isn't that far, actually, but it's still as plain as they left it - still quite a sight, though.

Not far from where they emerge from the trees, there's the disheveled pile of sand where Adachi previously was - but hold on a sec.]

'Thrown in'?

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Idly kicking at some sand.]

Unless you 'fell' in, I gu-

[Abrupt halt. Adachi looks up, eyes not wide, but unblinking, and breaks into a close-eyed smile.]

The plane, I mean.

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Phoenix only glances up for a second, before continuing on his search, kneeling to look more carefully through the sand.]

You don't make much sense, huh?

[Coming from Phoenix... that's quite a statement.]

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Depends on the context.

[Poking around in the pile of sand, Adachi pauses, bending down and picking something up from near his feet. It's a long strip of red cloth, tapered at one end and folded into a point at the other - a tie?]

Huh. I was wondering where this went.

[He brushes the sand off of it, giving it a few good flicks for good measure, before folding it up and slipping it into his pocket. Adachi then glances up at Phoenix, a few feet away.]

Did you find anything?

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
[For a moment, there's no response - he just keeps rummaging until something glimmering catches his eye. A grin, and he reaches out, picking it up and blowing the sand off of it.]

Sure did.

[Considering the prehistoric age they seemed to be stuck in, there was no way this belonged here. Cavemen didn't have nice watches. (Neither did Phoenix, and judging by looks, neither did the officer.) Only, it's not quite a watch - the display is adorned with buttons rather than numbers and hands. They each have a symbol on them, and there's a small screen with what looks like an egg on displayed on it.]

Weird device.

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Stalking closer for a better look, Adachi's eyebrows raise as he catches sight of it.]

...Tamagotchi?

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's some thing el-

[And as he presses a button, a spur-like symbol on it, they go falling - into a strange, vortexing tunnel. Rather colorful too, twisting into itself as they whoosh through. It's actually a rather short fall, but not very gentle. They fall right on a hard ground, surrounding by tall grass.

And for the third time that day, he loses his hat.]

...Ow.

[Phoenix finds himself laying on the grass, and if it wasn't for the fall, it would've been comfy.]

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[It would've been comfy if Adachi, lagging a few seconds behind, didn't land right on his middle either, but thanks for that cushion, Phoenix.]

Ack!

[Phoenix's hat comes fluttering down, the last of all to arrive, landing with a woolly flop on the top of Adachi's head, covering his eyes. The ex-detective groans, too out-of-it to understand why everything was dark all of a sudden. Of course, that doesn't mean he can't complain.]

Oww...what's that poking into my ear? I swear, if it's those cavemen again-

[He swats at the piece of grass tickling him.]

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-18 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Phoenix just runs a hand over the lower part of his face. This was turning out to be a long day. Worse than that day he got hit by a car, and had a Pink Princess marathon at the hospital. (Which, really, wasn't all that bad.) Maybe as long as days end up being when Apollo is around.]

...Mind getting off me?

[identity profile] implausibility.livejournal.com 2010-07-18 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Without responding immediately, Adachi rolls off with a groan. The hat falls onto his lap as he does, and he blinks at his surroundings - a dense plain with high-grass, reaching up to eye level as he sits, and probably just below his hips if he stands. It's a vast field too - the grass rolls in waves as the breeze runs through the area. Not a human soul in sight.]

...'Not in Kansas anymore'?

[identity profile] acehobo.livejournal.com 2010-07-18 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It could be Kansas. I've never been.

[Phoenix stands up himself, snatching up his hat and patting off the grass. On closer look, some barren looking trees hide what seems to be a small... town, maybe? From afar, it kind of looks like those old western ghost towns. Hey, maybe there's even an old-fashioned bar where he can refill his grape juice.]

Looks like there's something, though.

you know it man
